Are you sick of wearing the same baggy, nondescript scrubs to work every day? Are you ready to bring your winter wardrobe up to speed with the best styles, fabrics and prints? We’ve put together a list of our top picks in unisex and men’s scrubs fashion, just for you.
Raise Your Hammer
This is our favorite print for men’s scrubs this season. You’ll feel like a god when you swagger down the hallways of the hospital shouting, “For Asgard!” On second thought, there’s no need to shout..these scrubs featuring Marvel Comics’ Thor will do the talking for you. Yes, it’s not lost on us that everyone’s favorite male nurse on the hit TV show Nurse Jackie is also named Thor. We just think it adds to the awesome.
Prepare for Action with Combo Scrubs Pants
This men’s fit, natural rise pant is the perfect combination of scrubs, cargo and slacks. You’ll enjoy the comfortable, easy fit of an elastic waistband (sure to come in handy around Thanksgiving!). You also get slash pockets, cargo pockets with Velcro closures, a back pocket and a cell pocket. Even better, you don’t get stuck with dangling strings in the front since there’s no drawstring. This pant has a hidden zipper fly for a smooth, flat-front look.
Stand Tall with Square Shoulder Scrubs
Raglan sleeves are easy to construct and fit a variety of body types. That’s why they show up so often in unisex scrubs. The problem is this: While they fit everyone, they flatter no one. We prefer this men’s fit top with inset sleeves to accentuate broad shoulders and draw attention to assertive posture. The back yoke adds durability and style. The hidden side pockets in the side panels give you storage capacity without marring the lines of a top that is trim through the torso. A sleeve pocket with pen loops is another plus. We particularly like the Caribbean blue shade this season.
Unisex Appeal
This top has what a lot of unisex scrubs don’t—real appeal. Instead of hanging like a sack, it creates shape with its slimming front seams and decorative multi-needle top stitching. Side vents allow this top to spread a little at the hip for women but lie closer to the body for men. Instead of featuring a boring patch pocket slapped on as an afterthought, the front chest pocket is inset into the seam and features a curved corner. We don’t see it ripping loose anytime soon, even with heavy use.
You Can’t Beat a Classic
Sometimes, basic is good. That’s the case with this straight leg scrubs pant. It’s got an elastic and drawstring waistband with belt loops for the guys. Plenty of pockets dot the landscape of each leg to hold the items you use most. There’s even an ID badge holder that’s useful if your workplace doesn’t require display at all times on a badge clip or lanyard. The soft performance stretch (a blend of poly, cotton and spandex) moves with the man.
Get Your Head in the Game
Cap your outfit with a unique look by adding a scrub hat to your wardrobe. The soft terry cloth band absorbs sweat and the adjustable drawstring in the back lets you create the ideal fit for your cranium. This “Forever Tartan” print is a futuristic plaid that Sean Connery might be proud to wear if he ever played a male nurse. You know, we’d pay good money to see that movie!
